Coming from a big family full of military, it can be hard to get together for the holidays. We are separated by thousands of miles and some years on the opposite sides of the globe. In 2021 my sister was killed in action overseas while serving our country. She was only 23. It taught our family that we don’t know how many “next years” we truly have and that each and every possible holiday get-together is invaluable. It would mean the world to me to be able to get together with my family this holiday season, and share some laughter and pie.
